I made stockings for my sister, her husband, and her two children (at the time) many years ago — it was how I learned to sew. That was nearly 18 years ago. Today I received a text message from my sister telling me she couldn’t find them.

So I did what any good uncle and brother would do — began making new ones…out of substantially upgraded fabrics and 18 years of additional skill at my command.

No one receiving these stockings will be receiving a Christmas present beyond this.
